My Interpreter Journey

I am a naturalized American, who was born and raised in Hungary. I spent the senior year of high school in America as a Foreign Exchange Student. After my Academic Year Abroad I studied Business and Marketing in Hungary. During my studies I worked for companies such as L'Oreal; McCann Erickson and a couple of other big companies following my graduation. I gained experience in Marketing, Data Management and in Banking.

In 2010 my family decided to move back to the United States. Being eager to try something new, I enrolled in the Pre-Nursing, and later Registered Nursing Program at the local community college. Life, unfortunately does not always go as planned, and due to some unexpected circumstances I could not finish my Nursing Studies. I started to look for a new career that would build on the skills that I already had. This is how I found Remote Interpreting. And although in a different setting, I was still able to continue working in Health Care which was so close to my heart.

Experience

Today, over 10 years later, I am still working as an interpreter. With thousands of assignments behind my back. Some of my most memorable assignments were the following:

• Assisting Victims of Human Trafficking and Domestic Abuse

• Clinical Trails

• Contact Tracing for COVID19 during the Pandemic
